Nazca Lines

Yesterday I finished Anthony Horowitz's book Evil Star and it mentioned something called the Nazca Lines. They are located in the Nazca Desert in Peru. At first I thought Horowitz was making it up, but then I saw these pictures and I realized they were real. They were created in by the ancient Inca people. What's strange is that these lines are giant in scale and can only be viewed from the air. The Incas had no means to view this from the air and, some of the lines are perfectly straight. No one understands how these lines were made so perfectly, or why they were made at all. Also, some of the animals are deformed, such as the monkey who has four fingers on one hand. To ancient civilizations, natural deformity was a horrible thing and meant evil to them. No one understands why they would perposely deform this animals, but many believe they are warning us about something.
